THE SURFSIDE STORY

Like many things, it all starts at the beginning.

When Boy meets Girl….

We suppose it’s a Boy Meets Girl story.
A tale of love, loss, risk, and redemption.  
The sort of story told all over the world.
And this one starts in the sleepy seaside hamlet of Lordship CT.

ACT ONE:

Curtain rises on Act 1:

Boy has seaside bar and grill. Boy marries Girl and they open a seaside Motel. Boy and Girl start a family and grow the business over the years. Place becomes a beloved local landmark. Boy and Girl pass business along to family.  Inspiration becomes obligation. Obligation turns to deterioration. Deterioration turns to desperation and after six decades in business, the local landmark shuts down unexpectedly.

End of Act 1.

ACT TWO:

Curtain rises on Act 2:

Boy stumbles upon closed local landmark. It’s a bit run down but perfect for a restaurant. Boy knows nothing about running a hotel, but restaurant comes with a hotel attached so it’s all or nothing.  Boy must convince Girl it’s a good idea. Girl is not impressed. Boy breaks into song. Girl is impressed and says YES! Restaurant and hotel are redone. There is singing and dancing and everyone is happy.

End of Act 2.
